Botox shots

I don't know that I would do the Botox. Chiropractic care has helped me, and if you can find one that does chiropractic and acupuncture sp it is even better having regular alignments and I have only had to do acupuncture once, heput them at my ankles and my wrist and they stayed there for about a week, you don't feel them go in and the pop out on their own it is wonderful. I was having really sever migrains when I had the acupuncture done. I had a migraine everyday and could never get rid of it until I did the chiroprator and accupunture.

I have done Botox 2 times now with mild relief. I started seeing a chiropractor about a month and a half ago and that has been the only thing to really help me. I was missing at least 1-2 days of work a week with a migraine and now I have not had to miss since starting with the chiropractor.

I have very disabling hard to treat migraines also & had the same fears as you, also with 3 kids. Mine are also hereditary. I feel like a failure to my family cause I hurt so bad!! Just starting using a new Neuro that is almost impossible to get to see. I am scheduled for Botox this week. I have gotten to the point it is either live or die. I am willing to try anything that may help me get my life back. I am optimistic & having it done.

My doctor urged me not to try them as the risks are too great. Have you tried acupuncture? I did 1 hour sessions, twice a week, for about 2 months and it made my migraines go away completely.

So did you go to an office to do this? Was it painful? Carol

I didn't have the Botox, but a doctor in my doctors office did accupuncture. I am a nurse at the hospital where we both work and the doctor used to come at lunch when we were both working, up to my floor and do it for me or I went to his office. My chiropractore does it as well. It isn't really painful just a little uncomfortable sometimes. It worked for awhile then it didn't work anymore.

I did it for a few months. By no means did it stop them from happening but it might have lessened them a bit. Try it. Almost anything is worth a try

I also do biofeedback- kinda talking yourself out of a headache. I can talk myself into a headache .

I have done Botox twice, and like yourself was scared at first, but it helped alot. I went from two very bad migraines a week to four mild ones over three months
