Hi people…I'm glad to join this community as it offers me a great deal of help!! I just had a concern…I am 18 and I suffer seasonal migraine that comes only during winter, it comes everyday for exactly 30 minutes and not a single medication alleviates the pain… I've had my SAT exam last week and I've been crying as I lost 30 minutes of the exam because of my migraine… I couldn't concentrate and of course had no extra time… What I mean is…in a case like that isn't that any medication that can get things better in such cases of emergencies???! I mean how can I adapt myself to the pain?! Thank youuuuu!

Wow! I must say I have never heard of that type of migraine. I'm thinking you need to see a neurologist. What if they aren't migraines but a symptom of something else like a seizure disorder. I've never heard of a migraine or any headache to be that specific for timing, season and no meds help. Is there something different you do or wear or eat or take (medication), that you don't do in other seasons? Lip balm, body cream, preventative cold meds like cold fx? Something is triggering them daily, and the headaches stop on there own so your body might take that 30 minutes to metabolize the substance and when your body is finished, the pain stops. Tricky! I know with certain meds I take I might be nauseous for the first 20-30minutes after I take it but then it goes away. Would be worth a try checking it out. Do you wear sunglasses in the winter? I find cold bright days trigger migraines for me as well as very damp, heavy air days. Good luck with your search.

Thanks Jojo for your concern…no I actually do nothing different in winter like those things you mentioned…and I don't wear sunglasses either but I think I'll check a neurologist as soon as possible and hopefully anything will work!!
