Food allergies or sensitivities can cause headaches and migraines. I had my blood taken and tested for food allergies. Turns out I'm HIGHLY sensitive to soy, all dairy, beans, garlic, citrus fruits and more. By eliminating these foods, I have not even had one headache. Soy in particular is known to cause headaches for those who are sensitive to it. The blood test I took was from US BioTek called the "FoodStats Antibody Assessment." For anyone suffering from Migraines, finding this information out is key.

Add your reviewI went to a naturopathic doctor for the allergy test. She likes to blend Eastern and Western medicine together and consequently believes your digestive tract should be functioning well in order to have good health overall. By taking out the foods I am sensitive to, it has done wonders for me. Soy ended up being a headache trigger of mine (not migraines, but regular daily headaches which are annoying too).
Does the PCP do this test or an allergist doctor?
Definitely check it out. I determined my sensitivity to soy causes headaches. A friend of mine got the same test done and found out he is sensitive to a whole list of things including honey of all things. Very interesting info!
I wonder if my PCP does this kind of blood work. I have alot of food sensitivities like you: citrus fruit, strawberries, bananas, chocolate, aged cheese, and red wine, this is just the start of my list of food sensitivities.
Finding out what foods you are sensitive to.
ConsFinding out you're sensitive to foods you enjoy. :)
