Hi suzmom1 -

I took Frova and Max-Alt for several years until I saw a neurologist. Frova worked but usually took 1-1/2 hrs to work, except not work on my really bad migraines. The neurologist took me off both because I was getting too many rebound migraines. I'm now on sumitriptan, both pill and shot, and no longer have the rebounding migraines. I wsn't certain if the rebounding was due to taking both Max-Alt and Frova - not at same time, or it could have been from either of the two alone. I took Frova if got daytime migraine because it didn't make me sleepy. Took Max-Alt at night because I could just pop it in and let it dissolve - no getting up and trying to get a pill out of a blister pack. My Neurologist said both the Frova and Max-Alt work, but they were not the best for me. Hope this helps you, Sheila.

Pros

This is great for women who suffer from menstrual migraines. Plus, I have found this triptan works the best for me from the other triptans.

Cons

It is very very expensive (aren't all triptans) you need health insurance with a co-pay to be able to afford it.
